We want to welcome you to Austin Community College! College is a new stage in life; in our opinion it is a new adventure. There is a new type of freedom students will experience, new relationships, new encounters, and more. Our purpose is to connect you with other students as we pursue Christ.
We are a 2-day retreat for freshman & sophomore students of ACC and is run by students and churches who passionately love the Lord. Having been thee before, we know that the transition into college can be tough and create the need for a sense of purpose on campus and in life.Collide is a great opportunity for you to catch a glimpse of what college should be like. Through an amazing camp experience, you will grow your faith in the Lord and build strong relationships with your peers through the common bond of Jesus Christ. This will give you a solid foundation before school starts and equip you with the necessary tools to pursue Christ throughout college.
Collide is a great way to meet tons of new people before school even begins! Even better, you will meet other students who desire to pursue and strengthen their relationships with Christ in college. Come to camp and meet your future best friends and roommates. Sign up online today! We'll see you in August!
Collide was started by five churches and modeled after University retreats such as Ignite at UT, Foundation at Texas Tech, Impact at Texas A&M, Rise at Texas State and more. These retreats have been a huge success on Universities, we believe the same is possible at community colleges. Although there are differences in a community college retreat the goal is the same. We desire for students to pursue Christ. He is pursuing us, our hope is that students will heed the call and run after Him. When we do there is an encounter like no other. It forever changes us. It is a beautiful collision (Collide).
Collide is also a branch of a ACC college ministry called LIT (austinlit.com). Lit is a ministry made up of different ministries and churches working together to serve ACC students. Our hope is that students will not only renew their chrage toward God, but to connect into the local body and pursue God together. Simply speaking we hope to experience the adventure of God by first pursuing God.
